Mission

To develop and implement a comprehensive digital mapping system using advanced technologies like AI, Google Maps API, and MariaDB, enabling stakeholders to access accurate, real-time data on production, profitability, challenges, and market channels, ultimately optimizing the economic potential of RYPIC-produced NTFs and supporting sustainable growth across the value chain.

The University of the Philippines Visayas (UPV), as the lead project implementor of the “Farm to Fashion” project, collaborates with Panublix Innovations Inc., DOST-PCIEERD, and Iloilo Science and Technology University (ISAT-U) to assess and analyze the Philippine textile value chain. UPV is responsible for value chain analysis and safeguarding the data, while its partners facilitate data sharing, provide technical support, and assist in the management of processing centers like the Regional Yarn Production and Innovation Centers (RYPICs), ensuring data privacy and security throughout the project.

University of the Philippines Visayas and Panublix Innovations Inc. outlines the mutual sharing of organizational data for the “Farm to Fashion” project, aimed at assessing and analyzing the Philippine textile value chain. Both parties agree to ensure the security, confidentiality, and proper processing of the data, with the Panublix Innovations Inc. facilitating the data transfer and access to the PWEDE App and the UPV responsible for safeguarding and using the data to further the project’s objectives.

University of the Philippines Visayas and DOST-PCIEERD (funding agency) outlines their collaboration to analyze the Philippine yarn products supply and value chain, with UPV focusing on value chain analysis and DOST-PCIEERD supporting sustainable development and the assessment of processing centers like the Regional Yarn Production and Innovation Centers (RYPICs). The agreement includes shared responsibilities for data collection, mutual exchange of confidential data, and endorsing of continual mapping system for project implementation from March 2023 to present.
